RALEIGH, N.C. (April 10, 2016) - Hundreds of high school students, parents, and educators gathered on two Wake Tech campuses today for the college’s annual Open House events. School guidance counselors and administrators also attended, along with professionals interested in new career options and others from the community. The events took place on Wake Tech’s Main and Perry Health Science campuses. Both offered tours and opportunities to learn about the courses, programs, and support services Wake Tech offers.
Visitors spoke with admissions advisors, career counselors, and staff and faculty from various departments.
Prospective students learned about Wake Tech curriculum programs in health sciences, culinary arts, cosmetology, business, computers, engineering, and skilled trades. Students were also able to explore financial aid and college transfer options, student activities, and athletics at Wake Tech.
Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college, serving more than 70,000 students annually with five campuses, two training centers, multiple community sites, and numerous online classes and programs. Wake Tech currently serves more online students than any other community college in North Carolina.
