Naming Rights Celebrate Generous Support of College Partners
RALEIGH, N.C. (November 12, 2024) – Wake Tech is celebrating the generous support of community partners by naming educational spaces in their honor. Resources from donors help fill the gaps in public funding and allow the college to continue to provide top-quality, affordable education and training to the Wake County region.
Here are five naming rights recently approved by the Wake Tech Board of Trustees:
- Westgate Collision and Innovation Lab (Hendrick Center for Automotive Excellence on Scott Northern Wake Campus)
The naming recognizes Westgate Auto's $250,000 contribution and commitment to expanding the automotive footprint and technological advancement in the industry. Westgate's funds will be used for student scholarships, faculty certifications and professional development and costly consumables used in the Automotive Systems Technology and Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology programs.
- Gregory Poole Equipment Company Classroom (Building P on Southern Wake Campus)
The 15-year naming acknowledges Gregory Poole Equipment's investment in Wake County, its ongoing partnership with Wake Tech through supporting and employing apprentices, its commitment to hiring graduates and a new gift commitment of $25,000 to support the Rally Fund emergency assistance program.
- Brier Creek Dental Treatment Room (Perry Health Sciences Campus)
The 15-year naming honors Brier Creek Dental's support as a clinical site for Wake Tech's Dental Assisting program, its support of program faculty and graduates and a new commitment of $10,000.
- Dr. Bobby C. Raynor and Margaret F. Raynor Student Locker Room for Dental Assisting students (Perry Health Sciences Campus)
The 15-year naming recognizes Dr. Bobby C. and Margaret F. Raynor for their longstanding relationship with the college, a new $5,000 gift commitment for Dental Assisting students and previous contributions to the Dental Hygiene program.
- Riccobene Sterilization Lab (Perry Health Sciences Campus)
The naming honors Riccobene Family Dentistry's support as a clinical site and partner for the Dental Assisting program, its support of program faculty and graduates and a new commitment of $20,000.

"Private funding is the key to unlocking our full potential. By partnering with us, these companies empower our faculty and students with state-of-the-art facilities and resources, propelling them to new heights of success."
