Because of icy conditions at some Wake Tech campuses, the college will open at 10 a.m. Monday.
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are online courses open to anyone in the world, free of charge. Anyone with a computer and internet access can take a MOOC, but students receive no college credit for completing a Wake Tech MOOC.
Wake Tech has a long history of delivering high-quality education online, becoming the first community college in North Carolina and one of the first in the nation to offer a MOOC in 2013.

CheMOOC
The Chemistry MOOC provides a review of the basics necessary for success in entry-level college science courses. It is divided into 11 sections:
The MOOC offers students a route to review foundations of chemistry or to satisfy the CHM-090 prerequisite at Wake Tech through a proctored challenge exam available upon completion of the MOOC.
