As you prepare to Apply for Admission, take time to discover career possibilities that match your interests and aptitudes! You can take a self-assessment and learn about the job prospects, salary ranges, and education requirements in fields of interest at careers.waketech.edu.

Steps for Admissions

Step 1. Determine Your Residency Status Complete the NC Residency Determination form to find out if you qualify for in-state tuition and may be eligible for state grants.
Step 2. APPLY to be a Wake Tech Student If you’re planning to pursue a program in health sciences, visit health.waketech.edu to learn about program-specific requirements.
Step 3. Submit Your Transcript(s)Request official transcript(s) from high school, or high school equivalency, and previous college(s). Transcripts may be sent electronically to [email protected] or mailed to:

If secondary education/high school was completed outside the U.S., submit transcript(s) and completion certificate(s) with certified translations (if documents are not in English). If an examination after secondary education is required for completion, please submit the examination certificate(s) from the Examination Council. 

Step 4. Apply for Financial Aid  Apply early! If you qualify, Request Veterans Benefits

Step 5. Activate Your Account 
Step 6. Complete New Student Orientation Step 7. Meet with an Advisor  Step 8. Take Online Learning Readiness Assessment If you are enrolling in online courses, you will need to complete the e-Learning Module.
