Join Michael and Wake Tech Student co-hosts as they interview North Carolina Museum of History Curator Earl Ijames about Memorial Day and Juneteenth in the United States. He will also share exciting information about the inaugural Capitol City Juneteenth in Raleigh. That event will feature programs at the State Capitol, Dix Park and historic Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church.
The Freedmen's Bureau, William Peace University, Shaw University and Saint Augustine's University will also be referenced.
Earl Ijames is curator at the NC Museum of History and has many years’ experience working in the NC Office of Archives and History.
