Spring 2021 "Walk Across the Stage Event"

Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Wake Tech's Scott Northern Wake Campus

This Spring 2021, Wake Tech will hold a hybrid-style graduation. We will have a scaled-down version of an in-person ceremony in addition to a virtual graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The college is planning a pre-recorded event, complete with graduate photos and video speeches on Saturday, May 8. The event begins with an in-person “walk across the stage” opportunity, which will allow graduates to have their name called as they cross the stage and have their photo taken with Dr. Ralls. This celebration will be held outdoors at the Scott Northern Wake Campus at the clock tower, there will be no seating- (graduates will stand for the duration of the event). In an effort to keep our College community safe and healthy, this is a graduate-only event, and we are unable to accommodate guests at the in-person "walk across the stage event". The celebration will be available on Livestream for families and friends of graduates to be a part of their graduates’ special day! *Regalia will be required for any graduate that would like to participate in the “walk across the stage” ceremony. Graduates will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the event.
*All graduation communications will be sent to the graduate’s Wake Tech email account.

Fall 2020

Instead of a typical in-person ceremony, Wake Tech’s Fall 2020 graduation will be virtual due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The college is planning a pre-recorded event, complete with graduate photos and video speeches on Saturday, December 12. The event begins with a tassel turning celebration hosted live by Wake Tech President, Dr. Scott Ralls on YouTube. The live "turn your tassel event" will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, December 12, and the pre-recorded ceremony will be available for viewing directly after. Graduates and their families will be able to find a link to the "turn your tassel event and the graduate slides on this webpage on Saturday, December 12.
