Wake Tech Hosts College Connect Day
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 15, 2019) - More than 200 local high school students experienced life as a Wake Tech student today! The college hosted College Connect Day at the Southern Wake Campus.
The students toured the campus and learned about career opportunities during presentations on a variety of Wake Tech programs, including Culinary, HVAC, Nursing, Automotive, and College Transfer. They also received information on Admissions and Advising, Financial Aid, and The Nest, Wake Tech’s food pantry.
Students enjoyed lunch and played “College Jeopardy!”
The event was designed to ease anxiety for students facing the transition to college life and answer questions they may have about organization, scheduling, preparedness, and expectations.
