Wake Tech Hosts International Visitors

RALEIGH, N.C. (September 13, 2013) - Wake Tech welcomed visitors from Belarus and Morocco this week. The visitors from Morocco included 20 senior officials from parliament and government who were interested in learning about how the United States engages youth in policy making, government decision making and in preparing youth for better job opportunities. Their visit included tours of Wake Tech programs on Main Campus and a discussion about the challenges and successes of community colleges. Their trip was sponsored by RTI International.

Another group of visitors toured Wake Tech’s Northern Wake Campus. Ten educators, entrepreneurs and government officials from Belarus sat in on an International Marketing class. Their goal was to expand their knowledge and understanding of United States’ free market society and learn about business and entrepreneurism in this country. Their trip was made possible by the International Affairs Council.

Wake Tech’s growing Travel Abroad program offers students and members of the community the opportunity to explore other cultures and learn about other countries.  For more information, visit http://travelabroad.waketech.edu.
