College Names New VP of Facilities
RALEIGH, N.C. (October 16, 2024) – Wake Tech is excited to welcome Chuck Scott as its new Vice President of Facilities.
Scott will provide leadership and oversight for the planning, design, construction, operation, development, care and upkeep of all college facilities and grounds. He will also advise on the funding needs to maintain the facilities of the college and the allocation of resources for capital improvements, future growth and maintenance projects.
Scott is a senior leader and engineering professional with 29 years of experience in facility management, planning, design and construction of complex facility/utility systems for large institutions. His experience includes 16 years in health care facility management and construction at UNC Hospitals, 11 years in consulting engineering design and two years in manufacturing engineering.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Management from North Carolina State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds two certifications from the American Hospital Association for health care facility management and construction. He recently received the UNC Hospitals Friends of Epidemiology Award for his contributions in water and airborne infection prevention strategies.
He will begin his role at Wake Tech on November 1.
