RALEIGH, N.C. (April 8, 2023) – Wake Tech is hosting an Open House at two campuses on Saturday.

Open House is an opportunity for high school students, adult learners, the underemployed and unemployed to learn more about the college's academic programs, enrollment services and support resources. Attendees can also connect with faculty, staff and current students and get a glimpse of classrooms and specialized training labs.

Events will happen from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in various locations at Scott Northern Wake and Perry Health Sciences campuses. Visit openhouse.waketech.edu for more details and to register.

At Open House, prospective students and their families can:

  • Explore the college's academic programs
  • Get help navigating the admissions and financial aid process
  • Learn more about student support services and resources
  • Tour campus with a student leader

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about the opening of Wake Tech East, the college's newest location, and plans for the upcoming College Showcase and Community Celebration Grand Opening event at 5:30 p.m. April 25. Conveniently located off Interstate 87 in Wendell, Wake Tech East will offer university transfer degrees as well as specialized programs in engineering, public safety and aviation and will serve its first students this fall.

In addition to degree programs, Wake Tech offers accelerated non-degree training to prepare students with skills to immediately enter the workforce. The college is offering an opportunity to learn about these programs during Workforce Wednesday, a virtual open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 17.

Wake Tech is North Carolina's largest community college, serving about 64,000 adults annually. All Wake Tech programs, even those traditionally designed to prepare students for immediate employment, offer opportunities to transfer to a university for further study.
