Wake Tech Welcomes Students in Limbo

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 5, 2018) - Wake Tech Community College wants students who attend The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte and South University in High Point to know that it is eager to help with their transition. The schools owned by Dream Center Education Holdings are no longer accepting students and are reportedly planning to close.

Wake Tech offers 200+ programs of study on campus and online, several that align with those offered at both schools:

Students are encouraged to start the application process now for fall semester, which starts August 16. 

As North Carolina’s largest community college, Wake Tech is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Tuition is set at $76 per credit hour by the State Board of Community Colleges and the North Carolina General Assembly. Wake Tech offers classes at five campuses and three training centers that span Wake County. The college also offers an extensive selection of courses and programs online, and has more online students than any other NC community college.
