Wake Tech Honors Longest-Serving Employee

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 9, 2012) -Seventy-two-year-old Dallas Foster, a Business Education Advisor at Wake Tech, was honored at a ceremony on Main Campus today. Foster will retire May 31 after nearly 39 years of service. Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen Scott thanked Foster for his work and presented him with a special plaque at today’s event.

Kevin Brown, Dean of Advising and Retention at Wake Tech, addressed the gathering and praised Foster for his dedication: “You have truly been a blessing,” Brown said. “Thank you for all your years of service.” Foster says he is looking forward to retirement, but the moment is bittersweet. “I have enjoyed my experience here at Wake Tech,” he said today, “but it is time to close this chapter and begin a new one.”

Before becoming a Business Education Advisor, Foster served as an Admissions Advisor and an Admissions and Recruiting Counselor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Shaw University and a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from Central Connecticut State University. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Paula.
