Students Induced Into PTK Honor Society
RALEIGH, N.C. (April 13, 2016) - Some of Wake Tech’s best and brightest were inducted into the Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. The international honor society for two-year colleges offers opportunities for scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship for students. Seventy students in Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science degree programs were inducted in a ceremony that featured Wake County Commissioner Sig Hutchinson. His reinforced the importance of being kind to others: “The greatest gift we can give someone is our complete and full attention.”
Chapter President Brad Kotlarz talked about the many service activities the group has participated in and expectations for the coming year. He also led the installation of new officers.
To be eligible for membership, students must maintain a 3.7 grade point average.

The induction ceremony featured musical entertainment by the AFA Guitar Ensemble (Jason Brust, Director) and the Northern Wake Tech Chorus (Dr. DeMar Neal, Director). Chapter Advisors include Michelle Capps, Beverly Carapelle, Steven Hill, Sharon Johnson, Dr. Jan-Pierre Kamuabo, and Rhonda Thomason.
