Wake Tech Offers First Computer Technologies Boot Camp
RALEIGH, N.C. (July 24, 2017) - It’s boot camp – for computer coders! Wake Tech is now offering – for the first time – a 15-week training in computer coding languages. Web Developer Coding Boot Camp, which begins Tuesday, July 25, is offered through Wake Tech’s non-credit Workforce Continuing Education division. The boot camp is full, and there’s a waiting list for the next one, which starts in a few weeks.
The boot camp takes place at the Northern Wake Campus Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30–9:30 p.m., and Saturdays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Students get hands-on training in the coding languages in greatest demand in the IT industry. They will work in a computer lab with software and hardware provided, create a digital portfolio for prospective employers, and enjoy a variety of networking opportunities.
Wake Tech also offers for-credit degree and certificate programs in computer technologies, including web design, mobile app development, and cyber security. The college will host a Computer Technologies Open House on Monday, July 31, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the Engineering Technology Building (ETB) on Southern Wake (Main) Campus.
