Wake Tech and Shaw University Sign Technology Articulation Agreement
RALEIGH, N.C. (September 28, 2022) – In the spirit of academic cooperation and with the goal of offering students additional pathways for academic success, Wake Tech Community College and Shaw University have signed a technology articulation agreement allowing Wake Tech course credits to transfer to Shaw toward completion of a bachelor of science degree.
The agreements include Associate in Applied Science degrees in Computer Programming and Development, Data Science and Programming Support Services and Cybersecurity.
Programs included in the new articulation agreement are:
- Wake Tech AAS Computer Programming and Development to Shaw BS in Computer Science – General Concentration
- Wake Tech AAS Data Science and Programming Support Services to Shaw BS in Computer Science – General Concentration
- Wake Tech AAS Computer Programming and Development to Shaw BS in Computer Science – Cyber Operations Concentration
- Wake Tech AAS Cybersecurity to Shaw BS Computer Science – Cyber Operations Concentration
"We are very excited about this new partnership with Shaw University," said Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls. "This is a great opportunity for Wake Tech graduates to pursue advanced degrees. It will help them stay workforce forward – to keep moving up as they achieve their educational goals."

"By combining our strengths in technology-based training, Shaw and Wake Tech are enhancing workforce development and securing the pipeline for skilled technology professionals in the future."
Wake Tech students enrolling at Shaw may transfer up to 70 credit hours toward a bachelor's degree. All academic coursework completed at Wake Tech for which a student has earned a grade of C- or higher is fully transferable to Shaw.
