Join us on Wed, Oct 11 to recognize and celebrate the contributions of millions of Americans who trace their heritage back to the Caribbean, Central and South America, Mexico, and Spain. There will a live performance, interactive presentation, activities and food!

12PM - 12:30PM | How to Maintain Your Language Identity and Culture
12:30PM - 1PM | Colombian Cumbia Dance Performance by Takiri Folclor Latino

1PM-2PM | Activities and Treats in the Atrium

Presentation & Performance by El Centro Hispano. Since 1992, El Centro Hispano has actively engaged with and represented the Hispanic/Latino population in Durham, Wake, Orange, and neighboring counties. They are the oldest Latino organization in North Carolina.

Beltline Education Center | Now – 10/15 | All Day

ONGOING! Learn more about prominent Hispanic Americans while between classes at the Beltline Education Center. Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month displays highlighting famous Hispanic Americans will be posted around the Center. You can also pick up a reading list of famous Hispanic authors and books at the front desk.
