RALEIGH, N.C. (December 9, 2016) - Exam week can mean stress for students! To help them cope, the college brought four-legged friends to campus libraries. Certified therapy dogs were on hand at various campuses throughout the week.
Students were able to pet and interact with the dogs, activities that have been shown to be therapeutic for those under stress. In addition to the canine visitors, the libraries also provided “stress-free zones” where students worked on puzzles and large coloring posters.
Managing stress is an important component of student success, and Wake Tech offers a variety of activities and services throughout the year aimed at helping students excel and thrive.
